Experience on both sides of complex litigation.
We understand how corporate defendants approach scientific evidence, discovery, and trial strategy.
If you or a loved one worked with atrazine-containing weedkillers and later developed non-Hodgkin lymphoma, we want to hear from you. Cowper Law is investigating claims against Syngenta involving the manufacture and sale of atrazine-based herbicides and alleged failures to warn users about cancer risks.

Atrazine is a chemical used in herbicides to control grasses and broadleaf weeds. It is used on crops including corn, sorghum, and sugarcane, as well as in certain turf and ornamental applications. Farmers, pesticide applicators, agricultural workers, and groundskeepers may encounter atrazine while mixing, loading, spraying, or handling these products.
Syngenta sells atrazine-containing herbicides under several brand names. A product does not need to have “atrazine” prominently displayed in its name to contain the chemical. Identifying the product and its ingredients is an important part of evaluating a potential claim.
In November 2025, the International Agency for Research on Cancer, the World Health Organization’s cancer research agency, classified atrazine as “probably carcinogenic to humans,” or Group 2A. Its evaluation identified limited evidence of cancer in humans, including positive associations with non-Hodgkin lymphoma involving a particular genetic change called the t(14;18) chromosomal translocation. The assessment also considered animal studies and evidence about biological mechanisms.
The scientific and regulatory assessments differ. EPA has classified atrazine as “not likely to be carcinogenic to humans,” and Syngenta disputes that its products cause cancer. IARC’s classification identifies a cancer hazard; it does not establish that atrazine caused a particular person’s lymphoma. Each potential case requires an individual review of exposure, diagnosis, and the scientific evidence.

Examples of Syngenta herbicides containing atrazine include:
This is not a complete list. Product formulations and manufacturers should be confirmed through labels, purchase records, or application records.
We want to hear from people diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma after working with atrazine-containing products, including:
You do not need to know your exact lymphoma subtype or remember every product you used before contacting us.

You do not need to arrive with a complete file, but the following can help support our review:
If you no longer have the containers or purchase records, we may be able to identify products through employers, suppliers, or other available records.

Atrazine cancer litigation is emerging. In October 2026, a California plaintiff filed a federal lawsuit against Syngenta alleging that years of mixing, loading, and applying atrazine-containing herbicides caused his non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The complaint asserts product-design, negligence, and warning claims, including allegations involving communications outside the EPA-approved label.
Cowper Law is investigating potential claims and intends to pursue cases supported by the medical, exposure, and scientific evidence. Whether a particular claim can proceed depends on the facts, applicable state law, and federal pesticide law.
Cowper Law is a boutique firm focused on representing plaintiffs in complex litigation. Our attorneys were trained as defense lawyers for Fortune 100 pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. That experience gives us insight into how large corporations evaluate risk, develop defenses, and litigate cases involving complicated scientific evidence.
We also love to try cases. We prepare cases for the courtroom, working to make complex medical and scientific issues understandable to a jury. Above all, we believe people facing serious illness deserve answers and a meaningful opportunity to hold companies accountable when the evidence supports their claims.
We understand how corporate defendants approach scientific evidence, discovery, and trial strategy.
We build cases with the evidence and expert testimony needed to present a clear, persuasive story.
We examine the products you handled, how you used them, and the timing of your diagnosis.
As a smaller, focused practice, we give clients direct attention throughout their cases.
