Paige Miller

Paige is a senior paralegal at Cowper Law LLP. Paige graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a major in Art History and minor in International Relations. During college, she worked for the Boesche Legal Clinic (an immigrant family detention center in Karnes City, Texas) in order to provide aide to detainees. This experience changed her — and was the inspiration for her to attend law school.

Paige graduated from the University of Tulsa College of Law. While there, she won third place in a school-wide negotiation competition and was an editor for the Energy Law Journal. She externed at the Tulsa County Public Defender’s Office which led to her becoming an Assistant Public Defender.  In this role, Paige collaborated with a team to find and settle cases that qualified for post-conviction relief under the 2020 Supreme Court decision McGirt v. Oklahoma. As a result, hundreds of clients were provided relief because of the team’s efforts. While in the Public Defender’s Office, Paige also helped create a project to eliminate court costs for clients who could not afford legal services.  This project has helped innumerable indigent clients save hundreds of thousands of dollars in court costs since its inception.

Born to two lawyers, Paige has a deep love of the law and helping give a voice to the under-represented. At age four, Paige pleaded insanity to her mother to get out of punishment, unaware of the legality of her argument. At age seven, Paige won her first “trial” when she countersued her brothers in the Miller Family court (i.e., her livingroom). Her father acting as presiding judge, she was awarded $1 in compensatory damages for the menu her brothers took from her at-home restaurant. Paig’e family has always been deeply involved in giving back to the community.  Her mother’s lifelong devotion to helping her community at all costs drives Paige to do the same. She is determined to use her legal education to help others and carry on her mother’s legacy of selfless giving.  Paige is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma. *Paige is not licensed in California.
